Zentangle

Diese Woche hat sich Laura in ihrem Diva Challenge 362 ihr eigenes Muster SOMNEE ausgesucht. Ich kannte es nicht und mochte es auf Anhieb gerne. Es bereitete mir viel Freude beim Tanglen. SOMNEE ist ein schönes Muster, um in Flow zu kommen.

This week Laura has chosen her pattern SOMNEE to tangle. I did not know it but directly fall in love with. It is so much fun tangling and i got a wonderful flow :-). Thank you Laura for your inspiration! And happy birthday from Cologne ;-)

Ich hatte jede Menge Spaß mit dem dieswöchigen Diva Challenge #DC356! Als ich abends vom Yoga heimkam, habe ich mich direkt ans Tanglen gemacht, weil mich die Challenge so anlachte. Den eigenen Namen als Faden zu nutzen, was für eine schöne Idee!

When i came home from my Yoga class in the evening, i really had fun with Lauras Diva Challenge #DC356! I never used my name as a string. I really felt inspired :-). Thank you Laura for this wonderful idea!

I used my pattern NAAKI in the bottom and at the top FRUNKY from Katharina Königsbauer-Kolb, CZT.

Es ist herrlich, wenn man plötzlich nicht mehr aufhören kann, an einem "Thema" weiterzutanglen. Ich hatte die spontane Idee, der Physiotherapeutin meiner Tochter zum Abschiedsgeschenk eine persönliche Kachel zu zeichnen.

I really love it when you can not stop tangling one "idea". Here you can have a look at the gift i wanna give to my daughter´s physical therapist saying goodbye tomorrow.

Mein Muster RIMANA wurde für die dieswöchige Diva Challenge #DC350 als "Use My Tangle" ("Probiere dieses Muster") ausgesucht. Alle Teilnehmer sind aufgefordert, RIMANA auszuprobieren, mit einem Herz als Faden.

Ein Herz als Faden ist für mich eine große Herausforderung, da ich nicht der "Herzchentyp" bin. Es wurde auch direkt etwas kitschig, oh nein! Die klassische schwarz-weiße Kachel mit dem lediglich angeschnittenen Herz gefällt mir am besten.

For me it is really challenging using a heart string. I always fear it is getting too tawdry. Below you can see my favourite tile. Classic white and black.

Nichtsdestotrotz bin ich nicht feige. Ich zeige euch meine bunten "Kitsch-Deluxe-Kacheln", auch wenn ich nicht wirklich dahinterstehe ;-). 

I will show you my coloured heart string tiles although they became kind of  tawdry. I am not coward ;-).

Die Perlen als Herz-Faden sind von Laura inspiriert. Printemps als Hintergrund. Das war ein Vorschlag meines Sohnes Vincent.

The pearls as a heart string are inspired from Lauras beautiful tile. I took Printemps as a background, because my son Vincent suggested it to me.

Lauras Challenge und die Beiträge der Teilnehmer sind immer eine große Inspirationsquelle für mich. Richtig toll! Diese Inspiration wird natürlich ins Unermessliche gesteigert, wenn man plötzlich das eigene Muster in all den unterschiedlichen Interpretationen anschauen darf. Das ist der Wahnsinn! Dieses große Glück hatte ich schon einmal, als mein Muster EAXY im #DC292 im November 2016 plötzlich Aufgabe war, zu tanglen. So viel Variation durch unterschiedliche, individuelle Zentangle-Handschriften. Das ist immer wieder faszinierend.

Lauras Challenge and the contributions of all the participants are always so inspiring to me. It is even more exciting to look at all the different interpretations of your own pattern, you can imagine. It has been such a pleasure in november 2016. Laura had chosen my pattern EAXY as the UMT in her Diva Challenge #DC292. The tiles has been so gorgeous and inspiring. It is fascinating!

Diese Woche war ansonsten eine große Herausforderung. Meine Tochter bekommt Eckzähne. Mein Sohn hatte eine Mittelohrentzündung. Zwei angeschlagene Kinder zu Hause. Uff, da bleibt kein Freiraum. Das heißt, dass ich nachts getanglet habe und jetzt auch schleunigst ins Bett sollte. Gleich ein Uhr morgens. Die Nachteule sagt danke fürs Vorbeischauen und bis bald! Tangle weiter!

This week has been very challenging to me. My daughter is getting cornerteeth. My son has an infection of the middle ear. Two children at home, sick. No time at all for me except in the night. Diese Woche wurde ein Video von Sakura Amerika veröffentlicht, in dem Molly das Muster CRAZY 'NZEPPEL vorstellt. Lustigerweise mag ich diese Variante auch viel lieber und es geht mir ähnlich wie Laura. Ich habe bislang immer nur die Tangleation von 'NZEPPEL gezeichnet.

This week Sakura of America released another video featuring zentangle royalty Molly Hollibaugh where she guides you through a variation, or tangleation, of the tangle 'Nzeppel - it's called Crazy 'nzeppel! Like Laura i like this tangleation most. I never used the grid based version yet :-).

Im dieswöchigen Challenge #DC320 soll das Muster DANSK von Margaret Bremner (eine wunderbare CZT aus Kanada) getanglet werden. Ich habe das Muster zum ersten Mal getanglet und es hat mir richtig Freude bereitet. Du siehst DANSK auf einer Renaissance Kachel, als Hintergrundmuster, kombiniert mit meinen Mustern NAAKI und SERO. Vielen Dank an Laura und Margaret!

The challenge this week #DC320 is to use a tangle called DANSK by Margaret Bremner, a wonderful CZT from Canadia. It is a tangle that i tried first and i have had much fun! I took it as a background pattern and combined it with my patterns NAAKI and SERO. A big thank you to Laura and Margaret!

Beim dieswöchigen Diva Challenge #DC318 geht es darum, ein Diptychon zu tanglen. Ein Diptychon ist kurz gefasst eine zweigeteilte Bildtafel. Ich habe eine Kachel diagonal gefaltet und habe die Muster RUFLZ, YAH und mein Muster OMARTH verwendet.

Wenn ich mein Diptychon so betrachte, habe ich das Gefühl, es wäre ein Gesicht mit Augen, Nase und Mund. Ich finde, es hat einen aztekischen Hauch. Andere sehen darin einen mittelalterlichen Schild.

Was auch immer du siehst, lass es mich gerne wissen. Ich hoffe, das Diptychon gefällt dir und inspiriert dich :-)

The Diva Challenge #DC318 is to create a diptych. I folded a tile diagonally and chose the patterns RUFLZ, YAH and my pattern OMARTH for tangling. Looking at my diptych, it seems to be a face with eyes, nose and a mouth, maybe with a whiff of aztec? Others may also see a regal medievial shield like my Zentangle friends Midori and Jutta :-).

Was für eine wunderbare Diva Challenge 313 , eine Kachel zum "Tag der Erde" am 22.4.2017 zu gestalten. Laura benutzte einen Keksekarton, um darauf zu tanglen. Recycling is cool! Oh ja, das finde ich auch!

Mich lachte eine gefärbte Kachel mit freundlichem gelb-orangenen Untergrund an. Irgendwie kam mir direkt mein Muster NAAKI in den Sinn, das mich immer wieder sonnig anlacht, wenn ich es sehe. Dazu probierte ich das Muster RUUTZ, außerdem FLEC und BUBBLZ aus.

Ich bin eine große Naturliebhaberin, genieße es, draußen zu sein. In meinem alltäglichen Leben laufe ich oder fahre Fahrrad, um Dinge zu erledigen.  Ich kaufe prinzipiell nachhaltig ein, es fließt grüner Naturstrom hier. Ich gebe es zu, ich bin ein wahrer "Bio-Freak"  ;-).

Ich wünsche mir, dass noch viel viel mehr Menschen ein Bewusstsein dafür entwickeln, wie kostbar unsere Erde ist! Dass wir sie schützen müssen!

Mein Sohn weiß das schon mit seinen nun sieben Jahren und setzt sein gelerntes Wissen in vielen Dingen um.

Diese fröhliche Kachel werde ich ihm morgen schenken und mich bei ihm dafür bedanken :-)

What a wonderful diva challenge 313, to create a tile to honor our Mother earth as a tribute to Earth Day at april 22th.

Laura chose tangling on a piece of recycled material. Recycling is cool! Oh yes, i think so too!

I came up with my pattern NAAKI, that always reminds me looking like a sun, combined with RUUTZ, FLEC and BUBBLZ. I tangled at a lovely coloured tile in yellow and orange.

I love nature very much, enjoying being outside. In my daily life, i just walk or take my bicycle doing things. I only buy sustainable, we have green electricity here. Yes, i confess, i am an organic freak ;-)

I really wish that more and more people develop sensitivity protecting and saving  mother earth!

My son knows that already with his now seven years, trying to put it into practice. This cheerful and happy tile will be a present for him tomorrow, saying thank you to him considering that :-)

Die Kachel habe ich die letzten zwei Nächte in alter Nachteulenmanier getangelt. Ich hoffe, sie gefällt dir!

Ich freue mich sehr, dass Katharinas tolles Muster FRUNKY beim dieswöchigen Challenge DC310 ausgewählt wurde. Frunky macht total viel Spaß und ist ein richtiges Gutelaunemuster :-)

Ich habe es hier mit meinem Muster NAAKI kombiniert, ich mag die gerade Linien im Gegensatz zu den gebogenen von Frunky.

I played at this tile with my pattern NAAKI, i like it how the curvy lines are in a beautiful contrast to the straight lines.

Im dieswöchigen Diva Challenge #301 soll ein Duotangle aus Paradox und Diva Dance kreiert werden. Der Begriff Duotangle ist auf Laura Harms und ihren Iamthediva - Blog zurückzuführen. Bei einem Duotangle verwendest du nur zwei Muster bzw. ihre Variationen. Ich hatte viel Spaß mit den beiden Mustern. Ich liebe Duotangles ;-), sie sind einfach schön entspannend....

In this weeks Diva Challenge #301 Laura suggests to create a Duotangle using Paradox and Diva Dance. A Duotangle is a term that originated on her blog for a tile using only two tangles and their tangleations. I have had much fun with both patterns. I love duotangles. It is so relaxing....

Zuerst möchte ich euch allen noch etwas verspätet ein schwungvolles, gesundes und glückliches Neues Jahr 2017 wünschen! Wie das so ist mit zwei kleinen Kindern, kommt man zu Vielem! Nur nicht immer zu dem, was man selbst auch will :-).... Ich freue mich, euch heute mein Beitrag zum dieswöchigen Challenge #298 zu zeigen. Ich kannte das Muster Orbs-la-Dee von Anneke van Dam bislang noch nicht. Es hat mir Spaß gemacht, Orbs-la-Dee zu tanglen. Schaut aber nicht ganz genau hin. Ich bin heute abend doch ziemlich müde und werde heute mal ganz brav vor Mitternacht ins Bett gehen wollen.

First of all, a happy, healthy and spirited new year 2017 to you!  A little bit late but with two little children you are not always suposed to do what you want :-).... Weil mir das Muster Antacas letzte Woche als Fragment so viel Spaß bereitete, habe ich diese Woche noch einmal damit experimentiert. Ich bin erstaunt, was dabei heraus kam. Ein sogenanntes Meta- Muster, wenn man sich nur auf die schwarzen Flächen konzentriert. Siehst du auch Windrädchen ?

Falls du dich wunderst, dass du von mir in nächster Zeit nicht so viel hörst.... ab sofort habe ich deutlich weniger Zeit, da mein Mann wieder arbeiten geht und die wunderbare gemeinsame Elternzeit leider vorbei ist....

I have had so much with my pattern Antacas as a fragment last week. That is why i wanted to play again with it. Stunning about the meta pattern that came up. Just look at the black parts,  can you see pinwheels ?

Ich habe mein neues Muster ANTACAS als 2 Fragmente ausprobiert. Es hat geklappt und gefällt mir.

Wenn ihr genauer wissen wollt, was es mit Reticula und Fragmenten auf sich hat , könnt ihr das im Primer Vol.1 nachlesen oder eine schöne Zusammenfassung in Jennifer Hohensteiners Blogeintrag.

Nonetheless i want to post my tiles for Laura`s Challenge 294 this week.

I tried my new pattern ANTACAS as fragments. It worked and i like it.

Wenn das Baby erst spät abends einschläft, muss die Mutter wohl um Mitternacht tanglen und eine Nachteule sein ;-)

When baby sleeps late in the evening, mother has to tangle at midnight and is supposed to be a nightowl ;-)

Ich kann gar nicht beschreiben, wie überrascht und froh ich war, dass EAXY im dieswöchigen Diva Challenge #DC292 als UMT ( USE MY TANGLE) ausgewählt wurde. Natürlich habe ich mir alle Kacheln angeschaut und mich bei jeder riesig gefreut. Womit ich gar nicht in der Form so stark gerechnet hatte, war, dass sich doch auch einige etwas schwer mit Eaxy taten. Dafür möchte ich mich erstmal entschuldigen! Das war natürlich absolut nicht meine Intention! So soll doch das Tanglen entspannen und nicht frustrieren. Ich kenne das Gefühl. Ich hoffe, dass dennoch die eine oder andere Spaß an der Herausforderung gewinnen konnte. Vielleicht habt ihr Interesse daran, dass ich euch ein Video hochlade, in dem ich Eaxy tangle? ( Das wäre dann Premiere für mich und meine eigene neue challenge und Herausforderung ;-)

You can not imagine my surprise and happiness recognizing that EAXY has been chosen for Lauras Diva Challenge #DC292 as UMT (Use My Tangle) this week. Be sure i have looked at every tile you have made for the challenge and have been very delighted about them. I never would have thought that some of you struggled with the pattern. I am so sorry about that! This hasn`t been my intention at all! You should relax while tangling and not be frustrated. I know this feeling as well. I really hope that some of you had fun with Eaxy and spending time getting familiar with it. Maybe you are interested in a video from me tangling Eaxy? ( That would be my first time making something like that and it would be my personal new challenge ;-)

Was mir noch auf dem Herzen liegt: Ich konnte leider aus mir unersichtlichen Gründen bei manchen keinen Kommentar hinterlassen. Das finde ich sehr schade und es hat mich auch ganz schön frustriert, da so etwas öfters bei mir vorkommt. Da schreibt man einen Kommentar und nochmal und nochmal und dann verschwindet er immer wieder im Nirwana.... bitte habt Nachsicht mit mir, ich habe mein Bestes gegeben.

At least I have something on my mind: I hasn`t been able to leave comments at some of your websites and accounts. I have absoltely no idea why and you can imagine how frustrating it is to write a comment and again and again and it always disappears in nirwana.... so please be mild-mannered with me, i tried my best.

Auf alle Fälle habe ich es sehr genossen, eure tollen Kacheln anzuschauen und ich fühle mich sehr inspiriert durch eure Werke. DANKE!!!

Hier ist meine Kachel für diesen Wettbewerb.... und glaubt ja nicht, es sei so gleichmäßig.... das braucht es überhaupt nicht zu sein und vielleicht ist gleichmäßig auch viel langweiliger als schief?! Wo läuft schon immer alles nach Plan? Bei mir bestimmt nicht, erstrecht nicht mit Baby ;-)

So ist doch das Leben, es geht viel öfters nach links und nach rechts und nicht immer nur geradeaus :-)!

Here is my tile for this challenge.... and please don`t think it is so even.... it doesn`t need to be even at all, maybe even is more boring than wonky ;-) ?! Can you tell me someone who always lives at the bright side of life and everything happens like he intents? Not in my life, and making plans with a baby doesn´t work above all ;-)

That is life, not only straight but wonky and going right and left :-)!

Das Thema dieser Woche ist "Einfach nur Gourdgeous".

Maria kreiierte dieses hübsche Muster im Herbst 2015. "Gourds" heißt "Kürbisgewächse" und "gorgeous" soviel wie "sagenhaft/wunderschön/toll oder umwerfend". Ein nettes Wortspiel.

Heute habe ich mal wieder gemerkt, dass ich gerne einen dickeren braunen Micron hätte, obwohl ich so natürlich bei vier Kürbissen und dem Rahmenmuster viel "Zen" hatte: Strich für Strich ;-)... Hier meine Kachel:

"Gourds" like "pumpkins" and "gorgeous" - a nice wordplay.

I really recognized again today that i urgently need a brown Micron o8....four gourds and the border with Micron o1... guess i have had a lot of "Zen"...: stroke by stroke ;-).... Here you can see my tile:

Einfach nur gerade Linien. Egal, welche Muster. Das war die Aufgabe diese Woche. Eine tolle Idee und es hat Spaß gemacht!

Just using straight lines. This has been the challenge this week. Such a great idea and i have had a lot of fun.

Eine weitere "Still 'n tangle Kachel" mit Klemmbrett ;-). Fünf Felder. Ich fing links mit FLUKES an und irgendwie hatte ich so ein Spaß mit diesem Muster, dass ich damit nicht aufhören konnte. Unten habe ich mein neues Lieblingsmuster ausprobiert. Es heißt EAXY und sieht komplizierter aus, als es ist.....

Another "nurse 'n tangle" tile with clipboard ;-). Five fields. I started at the left with FLUKES and couldn't stop using it, so much fun. At the bottom i tangled my new mac 'n cheese pattern i called EAXY. It looks complicated, but is very easy....

Eine gute Frage:

Sehen die Kacheln, die wir online posten anders aus, als die, die wir "nur" so zur Entspannung tanglen?

Bei den meisten CZTs scheint das so zu sein. Tatsächlich postet natürlich auch jeder nur das, was er schön findet. So geht es uns allen - schließlich sieht man ja nur das Ergebnis und nicht den Prozess. Und doch ist der Prozess eigentlich genau das, was bei der Zentanglemethode im Mittelpunkt steht und stehen sollte. Schade, dass wir Menschen dann doch immer wieder diese ergebnisorientierte Prägung haben. Andererseits denke ich, dass man das auch nicht komplett verneinen kann. Ich sage mir und meinen Kursteilnehmern immer, dass bestimmt nicht jede Kachel "die Beste" sein wird. Dass das jedem von uns so geht :-) Dass eben genau auch die, die wir nicht so berauschend finden, nicht veröffentlicht werden. Das ist menschlich! Und doch : Wenn es Spaß gemacht hat, zu tanglen, dann hat man eben doch trotzdem das gewonnen, was man wollte: die Entspannung beim Tanglen!

Ich habe laut Lauras Aufgabe nicht nachgedacht, habe zwei meiner Lieblingsmuster getangelt und war entspannt. Wenn ich organische Tangles wie #SERO tangle, entspanne ich mich immer am besten, da ich mich da so kreativ und "frei" ausleben kann.....

This is really a good question! Are the tiles we are posting different to whom we just tangle to relax? Actually this seems to be, the most of the CZTs told in a facebook group. I think it is right, everyone just post the "nice" tiles. It's a pity, because we all know that the process and relaxing is the "heart" of the Zentangle method. At the other side i think it is unfortunately human that we all look at the result. I always tell myself and my students, that there are many kinds of tiles i tangle and they will tangle: The nice ones and also these, you think, okay, it is not the gorgeoust.

And that all of us just post only the prettiest :-)

Nonetheless, if you had fun while tangling, you have won a lot, relaxation! And that has been the aim :-)

Beim Betrachten der Kachel danach fiel mir auf, dass die Kachel meinen heutigen Gefühlszustand auch auf eine Art widerspiegelt. Die zwei runden Muster #NAAKI als zwei Pole. Weit voneinander entfernt. Doch gibt es etwas dazwischen, was sie verbindet. Heute ist der vierte Todestag meines Vaters. Ein wunderbarer, sonniger und immer großherziger Mensch, der immer noch irgendwie "da" ist und mit dem ich mich stark verbunden fühle....

While appeciating my tile, i recognized, that it holds a mirror up to my feelings of today and these days. The both round patterns #NAAKI are like two poles. Far away from each other. Nevertheless there is something between (#SERO), that connects both. Today it`s the fourth day of my Dad`s death. He has been such a wonderful, sunny and magnanimous person and he is still connected with me, kind of....

To be honest:

I am so happy, grateful and balanced since i can tangle while nursing with my little clip board always at my side :-).

Diese Woche war das Muster TRIPOLI als Monotangle gefragt. Ich mag das Muster inzwischen sehr gerne, seit ich einen guten Trick rausgefunden habe, wie ich es anordnen kann. Mit TRIPOLI kann man auch so schön "spielen"!

Plötzlich hatte ich einen Stern, seht ihr ihn? Es können die schönsten geometrischen Formen dabei herauskommen, je nachdem, ob man rechtzeitig aufhören kann ;-)

The pattern of this week is TRIPOLI as a monotangle. I love TRIPOLI since i found a good way for me to arrange the triangles. I love to "play" with this pattern. Suddenly i had tangled a star, can you see it? I think there are so many geometric shapes that come to light. Always provided that you can stop ;-)
